So you want to help... but don't want to drive across the desert yourself?

There are three ways you can help:

  • You can donate items which we need
  • You can sponsor us/donate money
  • You can lend your knowledge/time

Remember the car and associated items get auctioned off for charity once we get to our destination. Hence, if you send us a jerry-can or a spare tyre, these will go a long way towards helping <insert charity name here>.

Additionally, as an individual you have the option to get your name emblazoned on the vehicle itself (and on the site if you wish). If you would like to advertise your company, that can be arranged too! We can put your banner on the site, and a logo/slogan on the car, all for a minor donation of money or required items.

The main items we still need are:

  • a radio!
  • some odds and ends
  • a thermostat

I'm sure there's more - but I can't think of it at the moment!

You can donate money in multiple ways. You can send us a PayPal payment using the link below , sent us a cheque or pop by for a cup of tea (or a pint dependent on the time of the day). (also, if the charity we choose has a way to pay them directly, I'll put a link here).

If you want to have your name on the site, make sure to include some information with your donation!

If you are a company and want a banner on the car, site or shirts/overalls, contact us and we can arrange something (space permitting).

Finally, if you have time to spare and are willing to give us a hand in preparation, there is always plenty of work to do! What's more, you don't even need to have any mecchanical knowledge! (Though someone that does understand what makes the car tick, and possibly explain it to us would help...) An up-to-date status tracker is shown on the news page, please feel free to volunteer!
